Adult EducationAdult Christian Education

Christian Formation for Adults at St. Thomas More is offered in many formats. In 2016 we re-aimed our principal program from a seasonal Wednesday evening series (audio archived further down this page) to focused studies after 10 a.m. Mass during the seasons of Advent and Lent. There is also a discipleship component to many of our Small Groups, described here.

Alpha PromoOn Sunday evenings at 5:30 (prior to our 7:00 p.m. Mass), we offer a season-long, video-based Adult Catechesis Class in three 10-week modules: a basic introduction to Christianity (the Alpha Course), Knowing the Catholic Faith (Symbolon Part I), and Living the Catholic Faith (Symbolon Part II). Adults pursuing Confirmation at the Easter
Vigil attend the course throughout the season, but any adult is welcome to Symbolon Logoattend, whether once, occasionally, or all season long. A light supper is served as the class views a video on a specific topic, and discussion follows.

Adult Education Chalk BoardBelow are archived audio files from our longstanding Wednesday evening Adult Education series (taught by Fr. Bergman), and our more recent Advent and Lenten Sunday series. Increasingly we are utilizing excellent video-based formats whose copyrighted content cannot be reproduced here; in those cases we have linked to material introducing the curriculum that was used.
