First Holy Communion
Children
Children typically prepare for First Holy Communion by participating in our First Holy Communion Sunday School class, at or around the first grade. First Holy Communion is typcially celebrated during the 10:00 a.m. Solemn Mass on the Day of Pentecost, which will always fall between May 10 & June 13.
Youth & Adults
After substantial preparation, children and adults typically receive all applicable Sacraments of Initiation at once: Baptism (unless already baptized), First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Teens may attend the Confirmation Sunday School Class, and adults may attend the Inquirer's Class. For both teens and adults, if intractable scheduling conflicts make those classes impossible to attend, the Pastor is happy to provide private catechesis at a mutially agreeable time.
Whether child, youth, or adult, those preparing to recieve their First Holy Communion will also need to undertake their First Confession beforehand.
