How do I join the Parish, and/or the Ordinariate?
If you are a non-Christian or a Protestant interested in becoming a Catholic Christian, you will need to undergo a period of learning about the Catholic faith, called catechesis. Depending upon your circumstances, this may take the form of our Inquirer's Class, or may be tailor-made for your own situation, so please contact the Parish Office and tell us about yourself so we can arrange the right catechesis for you.
Any Catholic can register as a member of the Parish and participate fully in our ministries; simply contact the Parish Office and we'll get you registered.
However, only former Anglicans (or those otherwise descended from the Anglican tradition... Methodists, etc.) may become members of the Ordinariate itself. You can explore the particulars and download a form to register (if applicable) here at the Ordinariate website.
Keep in mind, membership in the Parish and membership in the Ordinariate are two separate matters... don't let a technicality precluding you from Ordinariate membership discourage you from being a registered and fully active parishioner here at St. Thomas More Parish!
